Glad you could make it to the Vancouver Diplomacy site. This site as evolved from it's original purpose of keeping players across the Northwest informed about the annual Victoria tournament into a hub for all Canadian players to keep up on Diplomacy hobby happenings. The Victoria Tournament moved to White Rock, just outside of Vancouver in an effort to become better prepared for a World Diplomacy Championship (WDC) bid in 2005.
WDC 17 and DipCon 40 was held August 9th-12 2007, the hosts and Vancouver local players thank all the players the travelled out to the University of British Columbia campus to attend the event.

WDC in Vancouver was an overwhelming success - 70 players played 49 boards over the course of the event 6 of which resulted in solo victories. Doug Moore clawed his way over Jake Mannix, Chris Martin, Yann Clouet, Dan Lester, Adam Silverman, and Tom Kobrin on the top board to claim the title of World Diplomacy Champion. We couldn't be happier with the positive feedback we got from the attendees, and want to thank everyone for the time and effort put into the event. Check out the full results here.
