Master's Thesis Survey:
"The Conversion of Anglo-Catholics to Orthodoxy"

Hello! I am Deacon John Saturus, a deacon of the Orthodox Church, and am working on a Master's degree in Theology. My thesis topic is "The Conversion of Anglo-Catholics to Orthodoxy". If you have ever been an Anglo-Catholic who considered converting to the Orthodox Church (whether you became Orthodox, remained Anglican, or joined some other Church), I would very much appreciate your sharing some of your thoughts and experiences with me.

I have prepared a sort of questionnaire, which you can either fill out online, or have emailed to you. You don't have to answer every question; if you do answer a question, you should feel free to answer as much or as little as you like. And if there's anything I've forgotten to ask, where you think your thoughts or experiences might be interesting to me or helpful to my research, I'd be very glad to read and think about whatever you'd like to share.

All your answers will be kept confidential, unless you give me permission to quote you. Also, I promise I won't argue with you or try to proselytise you — I'm just looking for information!

So, to start off, are you an Anglo-Catholic who....

...joined the Orthodox Church, and remains Orthodox?
...joined the Orthodox Church, and later returned to Anglicanism?
...joined the Orthodox Church, and later became Roman Catholic?
...has considered joining the Orthodox Church, but has remained Anglo-Catholic?
...considered joining the Orthodox Church, but instead joined the Roman Catholic Church?
...considered joining the Orthodox Church, but instead became something besides Orthodox or Roman Catholic?

If none of these categories describes you, but you have something to say on this topic that you think might be useful to me, please feel free to write to me at [email protected].

Secondly, please let me know how you would like to answer this questionnaire:

I would like to answer it here on this Website
I would like it emailed to me, at this address:

One more word. If you fill out the questionnaire, and then think of something else you'd like to say, feel free to come back and fill out another. You don't have to repeat all your earlier answers, either — just fill in whatever questions you have something more to say about.

When you're ready to begin, simply

Thank you very much.
